Happy New Year Dreamers!
Back in April 2007, I began working on a model of my Dream Home in Google SketchUp 6, a free and powerful 3D design application. I had used the software before to model a pre-existing building for a design project, but I had only a vague idea what I wanted in a dream home. I knew it would be only one story, and I knew I wanted it to be a private residence. Having lived nearly a decade in an apartment environment, I have no desire to live in a home surrounded by 50 other homes. Additionally, I was hired a few years back by an elderly Dr. to build a new computer. The good Dr. was 84, and his computer lab was downstairs. Every day, at least once a day, he would have to ascend & descend those stairs, and I was told he had fallen on more than one occasion. I have no desire to find myself in that predicament; I plan to grow old in this home, and I designed it with that in mind.
Ok, enough talk, here are some snapshots of my progress: Anthony's Dream Home

The Blogging Your Dream contest is a very innovating program. My hat is off to the team of people who came up with this idea.
I will be passing along your website address to the people in my address book.
